Not the cheapest barbecue on the block so why did I buy this model?
The quality of build is superb - built to last. It works very well too.
The latest model even has a gas jet starter.
What do I like about it?
The ash collector means that the barbecue can stay lit for hours without the charcoal choking itself out.
The rounded shape directs heat around the food to give even cooking.
It has charcoal baskets to make indirect cooking easy.
What don’t I like?
Although there is a lid rest at the side it is still in the way when you want to handle the food.
The tray at the base started to rust after two years. I painted it with Hammerite which should last.
The optional cover is a loose fit and blows off even in light winds. Worse still it isn’t waterproof anymore.The first Winter not only did the cover blow off but the lid went with it. The lid is coated in porcelain enamel which chipped. A replacement lid cost me £50 and that was with discount!
